Career coaching with us often starts when clients find themselves faced with redundancy. It is often a difficult time. For starters, there's the prospect of looking for a new direction combined with the knowledge that the security of a monthly salary will stop. Consequently we take a unique approach to careers and personal development. This is based upon identifying the new directions and working with the client through a challenging time.

Career coaching with us often starts when clients find themselves faced with redundancy. It is often a difficult time. For starters, there’s the prospect of looking for a new direction combined with the knowledge that the security of a monthly salary will stop.

Consequently we take a unique approach to careers and personal development. This is based upon identifying the new directions and working with the client through a challenging time.

Know thyself

We start with a comprehensive profile and understanding of the individual and their career up to the present moment. This includes their background and experience, qualifications and their all-important transferable skills. It also includes looking at the CV.

We select from a range of personal profiling tools that help individuals make their choices for going forwards. As an example, the individual who wants to set up their own business and go it alone can find it a challenge if they’ve spent many years being part of a team in a large organisation. These profiles help people to understand themselves – and help inform all-important future choices.

New beginnings

We help clients to identify possible future directions of travel. Do they want to stay in a similar environment, but work for a different organisation? Or does impending change give them the ‘kick start’ to follow that long-held dream that they’ve never quite had the courage to follow?

Our approach is to understand what clients think and feel about future opportunities. Former clients have started new jobs in different parts of the county; given up as a sales director and enrolled at college to become an artist; started their own businesses. We don’t believe age is a barrier and many of our success stories are from people closer to 60 than 40.

Working with you

Our approach is to build a strategic partnership with clients to explore their personal journeys. This is the exploration to discover what they really want during what can be a rollercoaster of a ride. We are acutely aware of the knocks that personal confidence can take during these times and our career coaches will help support during this time.

Working with organisations

We frequently partner organisations that might be going through significant change or processes, that can include relocations and redundancies. We appreciate the needs of the organisation to be flexible and fast-moving and effect change as smoothly as possible.

Realise your potential

Some clients decided on change through personal choice; others have it forced upon them. Whichever category the client fits in doesn’t matter – what’s more important for us is for you shape your career in your preferred direction.
