Your Total Coach

Life Coaching

We believe that much of the coaching is very holistic - it works with the person at a very individual level. While we might show different aspects of ourselves in different situations, our core personality remains with us in changing environments. Our approach to life coaching is very person-centred and works with individuals to help them move forwards.

Goals

We start by working with the individual to identify their personal goals for the short, medium and long term. How many of us actually set time aside our goals for life? Some of us have dreams or aspirations, but don’t do anything about them. For others, simply getting though to the end of the week might be the norm.

We believe in a number of core principles for life coaching for example:

  • A goal is a dream with a date on it
  • Life isn’t a dress rehearsal

Understanding ourselves

A core part of our personal journey through life is to understand. The coach works with the individual to help provide a greater understanding of him or herself. Self awareness – the ability to know and understand ourselves (including our thoughts and emotions) is crucial if we are to have choices for the future.

Initiating action

Each life coaching session concludes with an action plan – a list of one or more actions that the client will undertake to do. Ultimately, coaching is concerned with the art of mobility – enabling people to be in the position where they have a sense of momentum purpose – and direction.

Monitor & review

We often look ahead to what we haven’t achieved – but we also encourage clients to look back along the road they have travelled to review progress. We may also work with them to re-shape goals as their individual journeys progress.
