Leading to a Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching & Leadership Mentoring
Programme objective
To provide delegates with the skills and knowledge to perform effectively as coaches and mentors as part of their leadership and management role. It is designed to enhance their capability to act as executive coaches in order to develop clients' leadership skills and support their career development and personal growth.
Delegates will leave the programme with an understanding of the role of coaching and mentoring in developing leadership capability and develop the skills needed to perform effectively in the role.
This is best done through coaching and will give individuals the opportunity to discuss, practice and reflect on their thoughts and actions in an environment that offers them the freedom to explore complex and often highly private thoughts and emotions safely, confidentially and with confidence in their coach.
Who the programme is for
This programme is aimed at senior managers, or those working in a training and development role including in-company coaches, HRD specialist and consultants.
Outcomes
Upon completion of the programme, delegates will:
• Understand the role and contribution of executive coaching and leadership mentoring in developing leadership performance
• Perform effectively as executive coaches and mentors and facilitate a managementcoaching or mentoring programme
• Develop high-level skills in reflection and be highly self-aware.
Programme Outline
Delegates are required to receive 45 guided learning hours' on the programme, which is divided into a 3 x 2 day workshop and a 1 day workshop to conclude.

Work-based Assignment
A Reflective Review & Coaching/Mentoring diary, including self-assessment, record of coaching sessions and reflections on personal performance as a coach or mentor.
