Given the fast pace of change, employees must be encouraged and supported to Update their skills and manage their own professional development. Encouraging employees to learn helps organisations remain flexible and we have observed a shift in learning and development philosophy and thinking from an approach based on the delivery of training to one based on support and encouragement for individual learning. Reynolds (2004) describes this as a ‘shift’ from training to learning.
The shift from training to learning

By its very nature, learning is an individual process by which an individual constructs new knowledge and skills and capabilities. In the shift from training to learning, we are delivering learning and development activities and solutions that increasingly focus on supporting the learner. These learning and development activities include coaching, mentoring and e-learning. All of our programmes are facilitated in a coaching style.
The benefits of bespoke learning programmes
Why use a learning coach?
The shift towards a learner-centred approach has contributed to the growing attractiveness of coaching. This is because it offers one-to-one personalised support for development that can be aligned with the organisation’s strategy and goals. Group / team coaching is also popular because it fits the complexity and pace of modern organisational life enabling and organisations to meet competitive pressures and bring about change.
Who can benefit from bespoke learning programmes?
The coach’s role
The coach is that of a ‘strategic partner’ who works with the client in their environment. We understand that in today’s world of work, more is expected in less time. There are higher demands upon performance and immediate work issues require attention. The coach will first listen to the learning needs of the organisation and then support the organisation with learning solutions to meet that need.
Our coaches combine many years’ experience working in highly successful blue chip organisations with the ability to work with clients on those issues that are important to them and affecting their performance.
